Food Security Assessment Training

This 6 day training course aims to strengthen the capacity of participants in the understanding and application of FSL Assessment Guidelines. Theoreti-cal aspects of this training focus on assessment types, methodology and planning, data analysis, presentation and dissemination and practical tools such as: seasonal calendars, ranking and scoring, coping strategy index, household dietary diversity score, Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS), Months of Adequate Household Food Provisioning (MAHFP), Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), and proportional piling. The training has been designed using adult learning principles and with an emphasis on inter-active and learner centered training methods.
